It's only when i enable SQL in the services.conf tho :(

You need to re-install as a normal NON-ROOT user in a directory like /home/<username>/services .. just like the default configuration dictates.

I don't think its the same issue.

Several things don't stack up to those which we've looked at.

OP: Leave SQL disabled if that's working for you, in the meantime can you give us some details please?

Output of uname -a
Which enc module are you using?
Can you reinstall anope into a more sane directory as katsklaw requested and see if it still occurs?
