NS Kill Problems

Having some trouble using nickserv's protection feature.  I've enabled NSDefKill in my config, and used the nickserv module to mass switch everyone to kill on, but it doesn't enforce it.  Now, i thought it was some issue with the u:line, but then i realized that in the notice from NickServ upon switching it shows:

NickServ NOTICE This nickname is registered and protected.  If it is your
NickServ NOTICE nick, type /msg NickServ IDENTIFY password.  Otherwise,
NickServ NOTICE please choose a different nick.

With no "If you don't change, i will change it for you" line at the bottom like usual...

Sorry if it's something obvious that i'm missing...

That option is for newly registered nick only.
Cant be done with already registered.

I know that NSDefKill is for newly regged nicks, but i've also enabled the kill feature for all currently registered nicks, which should make it work on them as well.   And even if it was only for new nicks, i've registered a few test ones, and it doesn't change them to Guest after a minute of not IDing.

Users that are on a nicks access list (/ns help access) will not be "killed" if they do not identify, no matter what NS SET KILL is set to. By default a users' host is added to the access list upon registration so in most cases even if they forget to identify and still have the same host, nickserv won't change their nicks.

Oh...  That makes sense, thank you.  And the host used during registration is the only host that's added automatically, right?
