Problem Running Anope On Windows Xp PRO
« on: May 08, 2006, 08:56:46 PM »

i downloaded the version for windows without MYSQL.
I installed and editted the example.conf (renamed to services.conf) and saved it to C:Documents SettingsUserservices ... i beleive thats where the directory for windows is .. since in the example says ["configure" script, default /home/username/services)
# under the name "services.conf".] and after saving everything and i try to run .. i get this msg:

This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem..

Plz help me with this one .. thnx again for making IRC rock

MSVCR71.dll is MS's starndard c/c++ dll (were not allowed to include it with anope), you can get it by just doing a windows update and allowing it to install the .NET framework etc...

hello, neza, you can download msvcr71.dll from this link: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr71 or try Google! , Yahoo! Search etc. and put it inside your c:\windows\system32 folder.
