Global is messed up

Hi all. So far i like anope. Very very good services. I forget the version im running but i think its the current for UnrealIRCd. Anyway services links and starts up normally and everything works properly except Global. When i use the /os global < message > command it never comes through. In fact it does the following

--- *** Global -- from OperServ: admin just used GLOBAL command.


Now when i /whois Global it shows up as connected to the network. But it just doesnt do anything. Any suggestions? Thanx in advance!

this is typical for a badly configured 1.6 branch anope...
check the NetworkDomain configuration directive.

the 1.7 branch doesn't have this kinda problems as it is handled automatically by anope.

Viper: So your saying all i need to do is update it from 1.6 to 1.7 ? Is there a easier way of doing it with out having to stop services?

No i m saying you can fix it by correcting the NetworkDomain configuration directive.

i merely stated the 1.7 branch can't have this problem. But i would recommend people to use 1.7 instead of 1.6... and upgrading does require you to take services offline for a sec.
Btw if you do upgrade, you should start with a new example.conf since tons of things have changed from 1.6
