Connect as client to Services Server?
« on: May 01, 2007, 02:57:45 PM »

Is it possible to connect as Client to the services Server that I can use the ULine-Rights of it?

Is there any way to do it or an Module which makes it possible?

no, anope does not listen for any sort of incoming connections...
nor is there a module that implements something like this. and i can imagine it wouldn't be easy to write since anope has no provisions whatsoever for client connections.

because i´m not able to write anope modules, the module writer could do it if they want ;-)

If youre using Unreal why not search out the m_uline module that allows an oper to gain uline priviledges.

Just bear in mind such activity can be considered as abusive by your users and abusive behaviour has an awful habbit of scaring people away.

If you want to make someone use services' u:lines, you should turn it into a services module.
