Title: Timetable / ReleasePlan

Hi, together

not sure if its up to me not finding that things on the site anymore.
But i was used from the old site, that you have a list of things to do / done and a short timetable when you planed the new releases.
Currently there is pretty low informations about such things on webpace / forum.
As i want to migrate to my new Hardware soon it would be nice to know if there will be a stable release of 1.7 in forseenable future.

The current 1.7.x releases are quite stable already and suitable for production servers.

Hm, and how fast is the mysql stage?
Last thing i know was stage 2, is that also suitable for production servers?

Hi,

Unfortunately, since everyone works, and has lives outside of Anope (except me), it leaves us with an informal idea of releases.

With that aside, I can try and touch base on a few things;

The 1.7.x releases are still classed as Development releases and NOT stable. The eventual goal with the 1.7 branch is to make it a 1.8 stable release thus in effect replacing 1.6.x as legacy. I use 1.7.14-svn on production networks with less problems than I experienced with 1.6!

MySQL Stage 3 is under development in SVN somewhere. It's a fairly big task but will yield benefits upon completion. Unfortunately, I have no time frame here as its less developed than bug fixing.

We are working on the site (particularly a modules repository replacement for the dirty list at the moment), and indeed going to plough resources into our Wiki and hopefully get some info going.

I just noticed, I completely misread your question about MySQL.

MySQL is currently Stage2 which basically means it will periodically dump data into the MySQL DB, and optionally UseRDB will READ from MySQL on boot. There is at no other time a MySQL READ, thus modifications via sql injections on a website etc will not work as they will be overwritten on the next save.

Hence our looking at Stage3.
