Title: database backup and restore not working

I am moving my ircd and services to a new server.
The old server has anope-1.7.17,  Unreal3.2
The new sever has  anope-1.8.0 Unreal3.2.7
Both are running linux.

I shut down services on the old server and new server

then ftp all the .db files from the old to the new server.

I start services on the new server and nickserv/chanserv does not have any data
from the old server.

Something I am missing or doing wrong?
any help or ideas would be great

Have you enabled any of the MySQL settings on the new server at all?

I just checked services.conf on both servers
and I do not have MySQL enabled on either.

copy the DBs over again and start anope in debug (./services -debug -nofork) and paste the output here..

hi
I found my problem it was my permissions on the .db files.
have the backup of the database working on the new server now
