Title: crontab

Hi. I am using crontab for my anope services. but when i activate anope sometimes it starts to write it in ircd.

[21:40] -irc.deneyim.net- *** Notice -- Link x cancelled, server [@204.8.218.237.51831] already exists from services.mizah.net

services isn't down! but crontab wants to join server again. what is the problem. how can i fix it?

i found the problem. anope's crontab deleting the file services.pid

The default script will not do this, so you have edited it too much.

you had to have, it works perfectly for me and I use the default script that comes with Anope.

i have problem too. Anop's script work not correct (deleting the file services.pid).
i use the script of UnrealIRCd. It's work correct.

Same as I do, s many people complain of issues relating to the anope .pid file dissappearing, and the only thing they have in common is using Anope's crontab script.

hmmm, you're right the script does delete it. It's safer to leave it alone since Anope will overwrite the pid anyway.
