Configuring Anope for Autostart (unix)
« on: August 01, 2006, 03:22:28 PM »

Hello,

I currently run Unrealircd 3.3 and Anope 1.6.4 on OpenBSD 3.9. I'd like to automate Anope to ensure it starts auomatically and is running at all times. I was thinking that a cron script that runs every 5 minutes for the regular user account associated with Anope would do the trick. I'm just curious on how other people handle this. How do you start Anope and restart the services if they die? (In a general sense. Not asking for you to write me a script ;))

If i remember correctly somewhere around is a cron script already written to perform the task you require.

Thanks Jobe! Looks like I was using the wrong search terms. Just in case anyone else stumbles across this thread searching for the same answer: http://wiki.anope.org/index.php/Documentation:Install#Setting_up_a_crontab
