delete services and a cmd NS SET PASSWORD, save modules
« on: February 23, 2008, 09:40:47 PM »

Hi

I have 3 questions:
- How can i delete the command ns set password? I woud like that they can only oper with saset.

- Can i disable the services hostserv and memoserv?

- When does anope save the modullist? When i make for a test /os shutdown, and adter the start make os modlist, than are onli the standard modules. But the modules where i have load 10 minutes agoe are not in the list.

Thank you.

Great from swiss

Olli

1) A module could be used to disable/restrict NickServ set password, but be aware users wont like that.

2) You cant currently disable either, but as long as you dont load hs_request, and no oper sets any hosts, HostServ has no use.

3) See example.conf near the bottom, for 2 parameters on how to load modules at startup.

According to the source code, botserv and hostserv are optional bots.

Secondly, unloading hs_request only disables the HostServ REQUEST commands, not HostServ SET

but be aware users wont like that.

Yes. But the user can change the password via a webinterface. Therefore, i would like the feature set password to disable

Thank you.

you need a module for that... and there currently isn't one that does this since on most nets  set password is the only thing users can use to change their pass.

anyways if you use a web interface, why not have both options available...
