I am seeing the following message:
[6:35pm] -XXX.kicks-ass.org- Exiting ssl client [@0:0:0:0:0:ffff:XXX.XXX.XXX.192.60916]: SSL_read(): Connection reset by peer

Is there a way to turn these off?

these messages are sent by your IRCd and are not related with the services. Ask advice from your IRCd's support.
