I used the chanserv entrymsg which I think is more correct then the nickserv.  Nickserv greet was confusing.
=NickServ= Syntax: SET GREET message
 =NickServ=
=NickServ= Makes the given message the greet of your nickname, that
=NickServ= will be displayed when joining a channel that has GREET
=NickServ= option enabled, provided that you have the necessary
 =NickServ= access on it.

I don't understand that.

Thanks for the help

First make sure that you enable BotServ GREET on the channel. Next set your greet message for your nick using NickServ SET GREET options. If you have the required levels to the channel, BotServ Bot will display your nickserv greet message upon entering the channel.
