for some reason that i do not understand the sgline szline and sqline of the anope services 1.7.x doesnt function
i am using Unrealircd 3.2 together with anope services 1.7
what i mean:
i place eg. /os szline add glor!*@*:test
ok the szline is accepted then when user szline enter he is not killed with the message i place, instead he will stay inside
what is that kind of problem and how i can fix it?
thank you

Did you try /os szline add glor!*@* Test. The : might be throwing it off. Also are you services setup with the appropriate uline?
-
Also isnt that mask more of a nick ban mask then a zline ban mask. In which case try using sqline instead.
-
i had tried all the versions (sgline szline sqline)
NOTHING, doesnt kill anyone
neither when it's inside
neither when he will log on
must be some bug in the code i guess

the answer of the services on what you had tell me was
Reminder: you can only add IP masks to the SZLINE list.
but as i said it seems that sgline szline sqline is only decorative cause it does nothing

The guy has a point. I can't make SGLINE work.
SQLINE/SZLINE works fine.
SGLINE for me anyway, doesn't.

Zlines must be an IP.

Quit tellin me that :-P I was using his post as the example. Correct him not me I'm not at home to be online to actually look up the commands :-P

I for one can confirm SQLINE and SZLINE both work. SGLINE however doesnt work for me though either.
Also in case you're not aware with Unreal (im not sure about other IRCd's) a QLine only affects users who have not /oper'ed. For example you cant connect using a QLined nick but you can /oper and then change to a QLiened nick otherwise you cant even change to a QLined nick.
Basically if you want to ban a nick either forbit it with NickServ or SQLine it, if you want to ban a ident@host mask use AKILL and if you want to ban an IP use SZline.
The only place i know of in Unreal where a nick!ident@host:name mask works is when using a spamfilter to ban a user.

only szline but i don't know why

SQLine/SZLine work FINE as confirmed by two experienced users.
SGLine does not appear to function however.
