Notify on join

Hi,
I'm running Anope 1.8.4 on my IRC and i was wondering if it is possible to let an bot assigned to a channel notify the ops/admins when an user joins it.
How should i do that, and if anope is unable to do that then what would you recommend to use?

(why) wouldnt they see a join anyway?
