The perfect way to link
« on: May 07, 2008, 12:46:40 AM »

Jesus Katsklaw is on every forum I'm on... trippy.

So I was wondering if it might be possible to link two (or more) ircd's running anope without having to drop (and merge) one set of services.

I don't know if this is possible but before you laugh consider this. There are some ircx's/ircu's (Ircxpro) that have services intergrated into the link so that it's seamless (without the seams) from start to finish and no one "loses" their set of services.

Hey, don't shoot me, I'm just SUGGESTING it. It might be impossible but I thought I'd bring it up anyhow.

No, it's not possible to run 2 sets of Anope at the same time.

As far as your request for integrated services, it won't happen from Anope.

it's not *currently* possible. :) I'm not saying it should be intergrated. But in theory wouldn't it be possible for various services to communicate with each other?

/me gives katsklaw a well-deserved back massage to kill the rigidity

sorry, the rigidity is permanent.

it's not currently possible, nor does Anope have any intentions on making it possible.

As with all things, intergrated services has it's pros and cons, none of which I really wish to discuss. I was simply addressing your request.
