Title: OS: Save command
Post by: Raiden on July 18, 2008, 01:18:33 PM
A command to save the databases would be really helpful, because recently my services are connected to another server on my network and that server has been loosing connection so my services are closing without a current save of the database, so when i restart them people have to re-register their nickname, channels and such.

So an /os save command would be great, unless i'm doing something wrong or there is a command that does the same.

Thanks

try: /os help update

When you're done with that do:

/os help
/ns help
/hs help
/bs help
/cs help

and read EVERYTHING! I'm sure there is alot more that Anope does that you have no clue about.

I originally thought the update command just reloaded all the databases, don't ask me why.. Anyway, i have regular used the update command at least two or three times a day - the reason why i didn't think that command saved the current state was because i had done it once before the connection loss and afterwards i had lost around a day of data.

Anyway, thanks - i'll be testing this out now and checking the database update times.

EDIT: Yeah, so it does work - just updated it then checked the last modified date of the database files. Not sure what happened that time then =\
