Title: Failed login log
Post by: SNU on April 03, 2007, 04:27:50 PM
Hi ho.
What about something for nickserv that logs wrong login-tries?

I mean... if I login to my account a notice from nickserv might be
"your last login was at $time on $date from $ip" and an extra line:
"someone tried $n times to login into your account/nickgroup using wrong password"

Maybe this feature might just useful for admins and above but maybe also for users it could be useful. My eMailprovider also logs such things ^^
So I can see that it seems that someone pemranently tries to login or I can see that there might be a need to change my password...

I think this would be a nice feature.

This would need to be a module and not a core feature because it would require a db change. With a module this could use it's own db.

I do believe this is best in a module
