Enabling power after !hop, !aop, etc
« on: September 23, 2007, 11:25:05 PM »

Hiya

I was wondering how to make services give power to users after a fantasy command.

example

!aop add Dude
 > bot gives @ to Dude

Right now, the user must type !up or /hop to get the powah.

Hope its not confusiong ~_~

I've been using that module for some time now, but dunno if I messed up on the config or something.

Maybeh you can point out how to activate that feature, thanks!

Oh I see what you mean, there is a module called cs_statusupdate somewhere, but I cant see it on either module site at the moment. Basically it gives someone the respective modes on the channel when you add someone to the access list for that channel.

Well, I tried bs_getstatusonadd or something like that and it did not work. Now I wanna try out that one (cs_statusupdate) but I havent had any luck finding a working link.

If someone can post a working link to it, I would be very very greatful!

Thanks!

I actually thought about integrating this into bs_fantasy_ext for a while but came to the conclusion it would be stupid to do it for fantasy cmds and not for the chanserv commands.
so this needs to go into an external module...

since o2-irc seems to have gone offline I wrote a new cs_statusupdate using events.. tested to work with bs_fantasy_ext.
module awaiting approval...

published... http://modules.anope.org/viewmod.php?id=122

note that with XOP on it doesn't remove the modes. That s because of a bug in anope so should be fixed when .20 is released.

I will add functionality to remove the modes of all users in the nickname group a bit later, now it only unsets the modes on the main nick.
