i miss one feature at chanserv, autolimit the chan
A good way against floodjoin a channel.

command
/cs autolimit +limitnumber

When 25 user are in a chan and the limitnumber was set +5 , the limit will be set to 30.
Is a bot from botserv in this chan, the bot should set the limit high and down instead of chanserv.

I wouldn't mind seeing this as a core feature, but for right now, I dunno. I use a script for channel limit and such on mIRC, and it works just as well. It's actually probably better to use a script rather than something from the services. I say that because if services crash (for whatever reason), the limit would still be there, unlike someone using mIRC or something. It is just my opinion.

i know those scripts, but when you lose the connection its the same. the limit stopped.
services can restart by a cronjob
when the mainhub with services are down, the second hub starts the services on my net.

What about that: http://modules.anope.org/viewmod.php?id=133 ? :D

I know that module, but it wont work with the newer anope services 1.7x and 1.8X.
I would prefer this modul as core module, imho

I think NeoStats has a feature like this, you could use that along with Anope services if you need it.

Yeah and iirc, it goes as far as unnecessarily boosting the user count by 1 JUST to do it too.
