  • No it doesn't create the channel
  • It tries to set the HELPOP usermode (usually +h) on opped users in the channel. ircd-hybrid doesn't appear to have this usermode.

Hi everyone,

I need some help with getting the module mhrlpchan to work. I'm using Anope 2.0.4 with ircd-hybrid 8.2. The module loads but the channel that I set is not created. Thought that I maybe need to create the channel myself and registered a channel with the same name.

How do I see if a user is getting the privileges? What privileges does helpop give. Is the module supposed to create the channel?

Any help is appriciated. Thanks in advance. :)

/*

 * Limits how many times the same email address may be used in Anope
 * to register accounts.

This should help you.

Hello!

IRC has been there for years but mIRC usage isn't much nowadays. But the IRC web clients are still keeping up the IRC.

I want the Anope Nickserv's drop (/ns drop nick) have a function with ( /ns drop email ) too.

Something like, /ns drop *@*.* or /ns drop auto@bots.com because, I have found the flood with my Anope services with mass registration with same email (with some IRC script). I know the Anope nick registration can be set "none" to "email" or "admin". But I prefer it to "none" because it's easy for newbies and people who are using web based IRC or apps. It's easy and quick without confirmation.

It would be nice if this feature or idea could be implemented.

Thanks!

I think this feature would be good. I personally having a IRC server find it hard for users to register through the command and confirm it as they use Web chat. mIRC is old and IRC chat is nowadays embedded in Apps or Web.

So, this is really a great idea to verify through the link in the registered mail.

Hi guys,

I m new user of anope and I've been trying to install and configure services.

I m added as Service Root in the services.conf file.

I m able to identify in OperServ with the password I've added in the conf file. However all the commands I get from OperServ are these:

-OperServ- OperServ commands:
-
-OperServ-     HELP           Displays this list and give information about commands
-
-OperServ-     LOGIN          Login to OperServ
-
-OperServ-     LOGOUT         Logout from OperServ

Appreciate the help!

This is an option from your IRC server, not in anope.
For Unreal, when doing the ./Config, it's the question:
Quote from: Unreal
Do you want to enable prefixes for chanadmin and chanowner?
This will give +a the & prefix and ~ for +q (just like +o is @)
Supported by the major clients (mIRC, xchat, epic, eggdrop, Klient,
PJIRC, irssi, CGI:IRC, etc.)
This feature should be enabled/disabled network-wide.

Yep, as it turns out my Anope installation was actually outdated. Using the unreal4 module, everything works fine.
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the prompt response. I'll try that and report back with results.
