Hide ip from assigned bot [SOLVED]
« on: May 21, 2008, 08:18:34 PM »

Hi

Is it possible to hide the ip when a assigned bot from botserv is joining a given channel.

ie [8:23pm] * Joins: Clonebot (Engineer@xx.xxx.xxx.xxx)

Thanks in advance

uhmmm..... the bot doesn't have an IP as it s not a real client.
You can't hide it, it simply uses the host you gave it when you created the bot.. you can always edit the bot to show another host, but if it has an IP, that means that you configured it to show an IP.

Why would you want to change the status the bot gets?
you can configure unreal to show all as @s, however to make it so the bot only gets +o instead of +oa you would have to modify the unreal protocol module. which i think falls under modifying the core and therefore cannot be supported since we can't take responsibility for changes (and bugs introduced) by code you write/change.
