Title: Anope splitts from server?
Post by: JimmyBoom on July 09, 2007, 01:09:58 PM
Hi all,

I have a question.

I have UnrealIRCD with Anope, and everytime in the weekend i go away to someone.
But everytime when i get back anope has split..
It says:

(22:56:00) -irc.<server>.nl- *** Notice -- Connection to services.<server>.nl[127.0.0.1] activated.
(22:56:01) -irc.<server>.nl- *** LocOps -- Link denied for irc.<server>.nl(unknown@127.0.0.1) (No link block named 'irc.<server>.nl') [@127.0.0.1.2773]
(22:56:01) -irc.<server>.nl- *** LocOps -- ERROR :from services.<server>.nl[127.0.0.1] -- Link denied (No matching link configuration) [@127.0.0.1.2773]
(22:56:01) -irc.<server>.nl- *** LocOps -- ERROR :from services.<server>.nl[127.0.0.1] -- Closing Link: [127.0.0.1] (Link denied (No matching link configuration))
(22:56:01) -irc.<server>.nl- *** LocOps -- Server services.<server>.nl[127.0.0.1] closed the connection

I don't get it, why does it split from the server?

The link block is good, so i don't think that's the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Jimmy

Is it just me or does "Link denied (No matching link configuration)" not mean that you dont have a link block that matches the details of Anope's connection?

This log looks like irc. is connecting to services. and services. is somehow even answering and rejecting the connection. Something fishy is going on with the config... perhaps the ircd tries to connect to itself? That does not answer why services suddenly quit tho (look in servers.log for that)

GD, the first part, about "Connecting to:" is because he/she didnt read the line that said "autoconnect SHOULD NOT be used for services"

Quote
(22:56:01) -irc.<server>.nl- *** LocOps -- Link denied for irc.<server>.nl(unknown@127.0.0.1) (No link block named 'irc.<server>.nl') [@127.0.0.1.2773]

Just the IRCd trying to connect to itself because of the autoconnect option.

The "Server services.<server>.nl[127.0.0.1] closed the connection" message is because after Anope gets an ERROR message from the IRCd to say it cant connect, Anope shuts the connection down itself.
