Title: Anope 1.7.9 Session Problem
Post by: Filippo on May 25, 2009, 11:53:10 PM
I'm running anope 1.7.9 and i'm having problem with session limit. Some time some session results active but they aren't and so  some users are killed for session limit. What could be the problem ? Sorry for my bad english.

That's a rather old version...you may want to upgrade. Are you sure they have an exception? Is it operserv killing them or the IRCd?

on ircd they not result online only on userlist. I'm planning to upgrade but we use our own IRC hybrid7 version so we need to make some modification to new anope to make it work with it.

sorry but my english is very bad, i try to explain.

Some time some user are killed from services for session limit exceded .
This users really don't have other connection to ircd, but on service some session remain active,
example, I make /os userlist *!*@useraffectedsessionip  and i see other session, but if i make an whois
on other nick they are not connected to ircd .

Only way to remove this session is a little akill on that host to make session clean ...

Sounds like a bug, however we do not support versions that old... and if we would, the only way to fix is an upgrade anyways...
Updating to 1.8.0 is the way to go.. see if that fixes your problem..

Additionally we don't support modified versions of Anope either.. it s possible a change you made either to anope or the ircd is causing disconnects to be missed...
